Warehouse Mobile is a mobile warehouse solution that runs directly inside Business Central. Because it lives inside Business Central, you do not need any integrations to connect it. You download the app, test it in a sandbox, move it to your live environment, and you are up and running. It is the fastest way to get a mobile warehouse flow in place.

The solution depends on your online Business Central being available. Ten years ago that was a real concern, because a lost connection to the ERP system left your inventory work exposed. Today the uptime on Microsoft’s online solution is high enough that this is no longer a problem in practice.

Warehouse Mobile Runs Inside Business Central Without Integrations

One of the biggest advantages of Warehouse Mobile is that it does not require any integrations to Business Central. It runs inside Business Central itself. The warehouse functionality sits directly in the role center, whether you use it on a tablet, a scanner, a phone, or another device.

This makes the setup process simple. You download the app, try it in a sandbox, then put it into your live environment. There is no integration project to plan and no separate system to keep in sync with your ERP data. That is why it is the fastest way to get a mobile warehouse solution running.

Dependency on Online Business Central and Uptime

You can argue that an online solution depends on Business Central being available. That is true. Ten years ago we might not have recommended this approach, because you were vulnerable in your inventory handling if the connection to the ERP system was lost.

The situation has changed. Our experience with Microsoft’s online solution is that it has such high uptime that the dependency is no longer a practical concern. The connection stability you get today removes the risk that used to make a fully connected mobile warehouse solution feel fragile.
