Warehouse Mobile lets you work directly in Business Central from any device that can run the Business Central client. You get the same functionality whether you use a smartphone, a tablet, a Surface, a PC, or a dedicated scanner. There is no separate system for scanners and another for computers. Everyone follows the same flow.

You can use a cheap tablet with a Bluetooth keyboard scanner instead of an expensive terminal scanner, and you get a much better overview because the screen is bigger. This works for warehouse staff at fixed stations as well as for people driving around and doing registrations from the back of a car using their phone.

Warehouse Mobile runs directly in Business Central on any device

With Warehouse Mobile, you work directly in Business Central. You are not working in a separate app that syncs back to the system. You run the Business Central client straight on the device, and that means you can use whatever hardware fits your situation.

A computer, a tablet, or a PC all work. You can use a tablet or a Surface that you carry on your truck and keep it mounted there. You can pair it with a Bluetooth keyboard scanner to get scanning functionality. You can also view it on a mobile phone or a smartphone, or use an actual dedicated scanner. As long as the device can run a Business Central client, Warehouse Mobile runs on it.

A cheap tablet with a scanner gives a better overview than a terminal scanner

A tablet with a Bluetooth keyboard scanner is a cheap device you can use on the inventory floor, and it gives you a much nicer overview than the terminal scanners most warehouses are used to. The interface is bigger, so you see more of what you are working with at a glance.

The same functionality and flow across every device

Because Warehouse Mobile is the same Business Central functionality everywhere, you do not split your processes across device types. You do not have scanners doing one thing and computers doing another. The functionality you perform is the same regardless of the device.

That holds even for people working in the field. If you have staff driving around in cars and doing registrations from the back of their cars on their smartphones, they use exactly the same flow as everyone else. You do not have to maintain many different ways of doing the same task.
