The mobile warehouse app for Microsoft business solutions comes with a set of default flows that you can update yourself at any time. When you download the app, it sets up standard flows automatically. These appear as the tiles you see on the start screen.

You can import the newest versions of these flows from the cloud whenever they are improved. You can update a single flow, such as the bin content flow, or update all standard flows at once. The standard flows are locked to prevent accidental changes, so if you want to modify a flow, you copy it first.

How the default flows are set up in the mobile warehouse app

When you download the warehouse mobile app from the app stores, or one of the other mobile flow apps, it runs a default setup. This setup creates the standard flows that show up as the tiles you see when you first open the app.

From time to time, we modify these flows to make them smarter and add improvements. When we do, we are not overriding the flows you already have. To make sure you don’t accidentally change a standard flow, it is locked on the right hand side. If you want to change a flow, you copy it and work from the copy.

How to import and update flows from the cloud

You can import flows yourself directly from the cloud. We store the flows in the cloud, so you can stay up to date on all of them at any time.

You have two ways to update:

  • Select a specific flow if you only want to update that one. For example, if you have heard that the bin content flow has been changed, you select bin content and press OK.
  • Select nothing and press OK. This updates all your standard flows at once and pulls the newest version of each from the cloud.

Q&A

Can I update the flows in the mobile warehouse app myself?

Yes. You can import new flows from the cloud yourself. You can update a single flow or update all standard flows at once.

What happens to my flows when the standard flows are updated?

Updates do not override your existing flows. The standard flows are locked so you don’t change them by accident. If you want to modify a flow, you copy it and edit the copy.

How do I update only one specific flow?

Select the specific flow you want, for example the bin content flow, and press OK. Only that flow is updated to the newest version from the cloud.

How do I update all my standard flows at the same time?

Select nothing and press OK. This pulls the newest version of every standard flow from the cloud.
