This is what happens in the video

Flexible Forecast is an app for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central that lets you manage demand forecasting directly on your items. You install it from AppSource, where you can also download a free trial.

After installation, you activate Flexible Forecast through a notification that appears at the top of Business Central. The activation wizard asks only for your email address, then sets up and prepares the app for you.

Once activated, you can view and enter forecasts per period on a specific item. You search for the forecast functionality in the item header, and the setup is ready to use out of the box.

Installing Flexible Forecast from AppSource

Getting started with Flexible Forecast is straightforward once the app is installed. You can find it by searching from within Business Central, or you can go directly to AppSource and download a free trial.

After installation, the app appears in your Business Central as a notification at the top of the screen. The notification tells you that you can activate Flexible Forecast.

Activating the app through the wizard

When you click the notification, a short wizard starts. You enter your email address and select Next. The wizard then runs the setup and prepares Flexible Forecast for you.

From here, you have two options. You can go to the how-to section to learn more about the app, or you can get started right away.

Viewing and entering forecasts on an item

To work with forecasts, open an item and search for “forecast” in the item header. You can then find the forecast per period for that specific item.

If you have already entered forecasts on the item across the different periods, you can see them here. All the setup is done out of the box, so there is nothing more to configure before you start working with your forecasts.
